The Rotary Club of Toronto has recently awarded Sojourn House with the funding needed to purchase cooking tools, equipment and utensils for our Skills for Life Program. This cooking program has been designed specifically to support refugee youth and children in the areas of health, life skills and social development. The cooking equipment will be utilized to conduct essential programs and workshops that will be important for the proper development of the youth and children residing in Sojourn House as well as for their successful transition to the Canadian community.
Food security is an ongoing issue for refugee youth who are dependant on extremely low incomes.
